Community Life is bound by the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) ("Act")
which sets out a number of principles concerning the protection of your personal
information. The Act sets out a series of obligations detailing how private
sector organisations must handle personal information collected about an individual.
The Act implements the National Privacy Principles ("NPP") which
sets out how private sector organisations should collect, use, disclose and
store personal information, as well as the right of individuals to access and
correct the information.
Community Life respects your privacy. Any personal
information will be collected lawfully and fairly, and not in an
unreasonably intrusive way. Your details will only be used in relation
to Community Life business activities in the course of implementing
our terms of service or responding to an enquiry about Community
Life.
Community Life Limited, is a publicly listed Australian company
(ASX:CLF) which has evolved, over the years, into an investment
company. The Company is an owner and manager of
vacant land and budget residential rental accommodaction,
operates and manages a loan mortgage book and also has a
43% interest in RewardsCorp
Limited.
In the process of running our business we handle personal information
relating to our staff, Community Life mortgagors, people making
loan applications, people enquiring about Community Life rental
properties and enquiries we may receive relating to any other
services which we may offer from time to time.
Community Life collects information from several sources. We collect
information on prospective borrowers, people who make enquiries
about our rental properties and on our employees and contractors.
Our records will generally contain a variety
of personal information, including but not limited to, contact
details, salary details, statement of assets and liabilities,
address details and (where applicable) the Community Life rental
properties of interest to a person.
We also hold information about our employees
and contractors. This information is generally limited to normal
human resources information such as job applicant details, pay and
superannuation records and other internal administrative information.
Our handling of employee information is covered by a separate policy.
Under the Act, certain types of personal information
are regarded as sensitive and must be treated with a higher standard
of care. This includes information relating to religious beliefs
and medical reports.
Community Life may also collect personal information
from other organisations. In particular, Community Life may obtain
contact lists that we use for marketing relating to our business.

privacy obligations and they do not keep this information or
use it for any unauthorised purposes.
Like most businesses, marketing is important to Community Life's continued
success. We believe we have a unique offering that we provide to people

name from our list by emailing privacy@communitylife.com.au and asking
to be removed from our mailing list. Please allow 28 days for this
request to be processed.
The Act sets out the rights that you have as an individual to see any personal
information that Community Life may have concerning you. A formal request from
you is required if you would like to:
- access your personal information;
- change any inaccurate or out of date
personal information; or
- have your personal information deleted.
In some cases we may need to impose a charge
for providing access to personal information to reflect the cost
of finding this information and providing it to you.
Community Life reserves the right to refuse
a request to access personal information where the identity of the
individual making the request is in doubt, or where legal professional
privilege exists or where the rights of Community Life may be prejudiced.
If you wish to have your personal information deleted, please let us know in
the same manner and we will take all reasonable steps to delete it unless we
need to keep it for legal reasons. Occasionally, information that a person
requests to be removed will be retained in certain files in order to resolve
disputes or for auditing purposes. In addition, information is never completely
removed from our databases due to technical and legal constraints, including
stored "back up" systems. Therefore, people should not expect that
all of their personally identifiable information will be completely removed
from our databases in response to their requests.
Community Life understands the importance of information security.
We apply high standards of security to personal information that
is held within our business. We will endeavour to take all reasonable
steps to keep secure any information that we hold about you, and
to keep this information accurate and up to date. We require all
our employees to respect the confidentiality of any personal information
held by Community Life.

over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot
give an absolute assurance that the information you provide to us
will be secure at all times. We do, however, regularly review our
security practices to minimise the possibility of any unauthorised

confidential information. Further, we engage the services of a specialist
security company that oversees and continuously monitors our Information
Technology environment in order to maintain the highest possible
